About Sandstorm Event

Sandstorm Events Pty Ltd is an event management company located in Melbourne, Australia.  Sandstorm Events has a skills set, infrastructure asset base and professionalism that is comparable to any event management team in Australia, which enables us to manage all or any part of your event needs.

The team at Sandstorm Events is led by Sharon Redmond and Michael Wittingslow.


Sharon Redmond- Director

Sharon has worked in the area of event and event management for the past 22 years and has a wealth of both industry knowledge and strong operational skills.  She is creative, driven, highly motivational and highly respected.

She has extensive knowledge and experience in the staging of large-scale major events and working in the area of the not for profit.


Michael Wittingslow – Producer

Michael has 30 plus years of experience in the operational side of event management and is known as a leader within the entertainment sector for his professionalism and knowledge in this area.
He gained this experience through his family business of Wittingslow Amusements, who were the largest provider of Amusement Rides in Australia, with contracts at the Royal Melbourne Show, Royal Sydney Show and the Royal Adelaide Show.

His lateral thinking and interest in expanding the family business saw him develop a keen interest in festivals and events.  Michael has been the Organiser and Chairman of many festivals, the most well known being Melbourne’s Moomba Festival, the Geelong Waterfront Festival, the Mornington AusDay Festival and the National Celtic Festival.


Sandstorm Events is currently is engaged by:

Vision Australia to event manage the operational aspects of the prestigious Carols by Candlelight held at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Christmas Eve.

TOYTOPIA CLOSES

After 4 months at the Frankston Waterfront, Toytopia has now closed.  Our 100,000th visitor for the season, Elaine Chester, walked through the gates on Anzac Day.  We would like to thank each and every one of our visitors for making the 2011/2012 season of Sand Sculpting Australia such a success.  We look forward to seeing you all at our next exhibition…
